G is for…..
Femmina. Lo so. L'ho detto tante volte.
Dio. Io credo in Dio.
G is for Girl, Grandparents, Gift and God.
Girl. I know. I've said it lots of times. This little girl was going to complete our family. She was the missing piece. I didn't think that the missing piece… will be lost forever.
Grandparents. My mum and dad. The two people that have always been by my side have suffered SO much. I've never given them this much pain since I was born. The pain I saw in their eyes when I told them that Thea's little heart wasn't beating anymore is unforgettable. They were the very first people to know as soon as we got back from the hospital.
Gift and gifts. Thea was our "gift from God"….. she really was. Every baby is. We weren't trying for another baby, so after the initial shock and confusion we really did think that she was meant to be. I can't forget telling everyone that I did loads of physical things like bike riding and moving furniture around…..if she hung on then… then she really was meant to be. Little did I know that during pregnancy there isn't a "safe" moment where you can sit back and say...." Ok it's all fine…. Nothing bad can happen now".
Gifts. Thea received lots of gifts "before" she was born. It was as if they were all giving her gifts while she was alive. Unconsciously they knew that they weren't going to be able to give her anything after her birth.
God. I believe in God. I'm a catholic. After Thea a very special person asked me "Do you still believe in God?" I replied yes….I do. I believe that Thea was SO special that she was too good for this life. She was too perfect to be here. The first thought I had was that she now has a Mother up there that is perfect in every way. Mary. She'll look after her better than I ever could be able to.
