E passa un altro anno.... Another year goes by

Vedremo.

As usual, when I say I need to write more here on my blog .... I never do.  I won't say it anymore.... who knows!

As he title says ..... another year goes by....

Another year that takes me further away from her.... and a year that sees my children grow.... and I see them taking a step further away from me.

Our Christmas went by safely.  Theo's first Christmas.  One of his "firsts" that have gone by.  His "firsts" have become my "lasts".  This really makes me sad.

I don't know how to explain it.... every one of my son's first times..... is a great conquest anche I'm happy for him.... but at the same time it's heartbreaking for me.  It's the realization ....that I will never be able to have back those "first times"

I'm getting on a bit.  I'm 40 and I don't think I'll have other children.... because I think another high risk pregnancy will kill me due to anxiety.  So.... no more tiny feet.... no more baby food, up all night, baby laundry,,,,ecc ecc.  I LOVE maternity.  To think that all this is a thing of the past and that it's leaving me makes me really unhappy.

That's why I want to relish all of Theo, Luca's and Calogero's childhood.  I could write another blog post here about this.

Years are going by.... and even though Im not old.... I feel like a beautiful phase of my life has pased.  I could relive it all with my grandchildren... If I'm lucky.... but it still won't be the same.

we'll see.
